Stop Smoking (Traffic light??)

**What does smoking and traffic light  has to do bout?

That was random word association, relating something with random thing (that doesn't make sense). This allow us to enter the existing patterns of our thinking at a different point. The example given is;   Smoking and traffic light. Hmm..let meh think. (/=~=)/.

Problem: stop smoking         Random word association: Traffic Light

Association
Red light : car have to stop their car (it's dangerous to go on)

In practice, what might this mean?
The smoker must stop smoking when see the sign or signal.

Create a cigarette that have 3 color, same as traffic light. Then put the most dangerous chemical of cigarette in the red area. It's like a level, the dangerous chemical rate start with  green, the light dangerous chemical and so on. I bet the most long is red one. Before ending the yellow one they will stopped, it's like traffic light rules. If  you still want to go, you will danger ur life's. Same as the cigarette. Yes, u can smoke it but the risk is under you.

Creativity in art design and multimedia

What is dadaism?  Dadaism or dada was an art movement of the European avant-garde in the early 20th century. The history of dadaism started in Zurich, Switzerland in 1916.

Dada refer to the dictionary is:
- A European artistic and literary movement (1916-1923) that flouted conventional aesthetic and cultural values by producing works marked by nonsense, travesty, and incongruity.
[French dada, hobbyhorse, Dada, of baby-talk origin.]

How the dadaism got it's name? The dadaism got it name from a paper knife inserted into a French-German dictionary pointed to the French word dada (“hobby-horse”), it was seized upon by the group as appropriate for their anti-aesthetic creations and protest activities, which were engendered by disgust for bourgeois values and despair over World War I. Dada did not constitute an actual artistic style, but its proponents favoured group collaboration, spontaneity, and chance. In the desire to reject traditional modes of artistic creation, many Dadaists worked in collage, photomontage, and found-object construction, rather than in painting and sculpture.

Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition

First time i hear this from my lecturer, ermm..wat? (sound like phantom lancer skill)

What i learn from the lecture eh? Firstly,  lecture ask us to pick 2 number from 0-9. Each of the number got it own item, such as animal and thing. Then we need to combine it without know the purpose we pick the number. As the result we got weird combination and some luck people just got normal one. Lecturer ask us to create a sentence from 2 item we get and draw it. Then draw a thing that when people look it they know what it is (eg. water and bee). Make sure people will say 'water' first than 'bee'. Then i learn that, lecturer want us to combine 2 different thing. As the juxtaposition mean; the act or placement of two things (usually abstract concepts) near each other. This is what i learn from juxtaposition.

Metaphor poem:

Mortar and pestle:
Men and women,
Are like mortar and pestle,
Without mortar,
Pestle are useless,
Without mortar,
Pestle got nothing to hit at,
The ingredient that they hit,
Combining and used for cooking,
Creating delicious serve,
It's like man and women,
Live together,
Creating love and happiness

Chili :
Love is like a chili,
It's hot and spicy,
But you still want it,
The red color,
The passion of love
It attract you,
You know you will got hurt if u eat it,
But still..
You want it even u know the fact
As the love sometimes can be hurt,
But still..
You don't want to resist it ,
Like a chili,
Same as love..

Historical Examination of Creativity

What trait makes them creative?

Since long time ago, people start thinking and creating something new that we call invention. What trait make them creative? it started when curious came in their mind. How the earth look like? is it flat or sphere? then they start researching, because of that reason invention and innovation also take a part. They created a device that can help them in researching.

The environmental around them make they thinking.  In the old time they use animal as transport. Then they start thinking, how many weight the animal can accommodate and people they can carry? how fast they can move in critical situation like the baby was born or people was injured? Then they start creating transport from the nature. It not easy at that time, because of their persistent they achieve the success with many trial and failure. The motor transport invented to exchange with the animal. Then innovation started, they created lorry that can carry more than 1000 kg that animal can't. Isn't amazing?

The process of creativity is when people start thinking and try solve the problem. Problem keep coming even we try to solve. Every time of that, new method are created. Creativity help us solve the problem in the different way. . Like telephone was created, how to call people when they are far away? they use smoke and fire for the first time. But, the people can't see it in bad weather. Problem solve then come a new one. Then telephone was created. People say it can't be carry anywhere. So hand phone was created to easy them. Until now the communication way keep evolving.

Innovation and Invention

はい~ もしもし!!

The main topic today is about the process of invention and innovation refering to this article: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/tech/article/the-pc-is-dead-long-live-the-tablet/

What does it tell us about the process of invention and innovation? Hmm..I still wondering.
Innovation is the development of new customers value through solutions that meet new needs while invention is an improvement upon a machine or product.

According to a Gartner report out November 6, 821 million smartphones and tablets will be purchased by the end of the year, accounting for 70 per cent of total devices sold in 2012. Wow! that's a lot. The first smartphones combined the functions of a personal digital assistant (PDA) with a mobile phone, later models added the functionality of portable media players, low-end compact digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and GPS navigation units to form one multi-use device. Smartphone is an invention. From mobile they added many function and it became better and better.

But what does the article tell us about process of invention and innovation? The process is begin by the researcher do a lot of research to think about invention and innovation. They research about life-style, social and uses and then, create a device. What was it? it's a smartphone, an innovation from phone and PDA. They create something that people never think about it in year before, now it's infront of our eyes. But the invention and innovation not stop yet because now we have tablet!

From invention and innovation they create a tablet. The company also believes that by 2016, tablets will have replaced computers in most companies and that more of us will become mobile workers as a result. So, we maybe don't need an office. This what we call an invention, an improvement upon a machine or product. We don't need computer, but is it true?

As recently as 15 years ago, the technology we used at work — including phones and desktop and laptop computers — was far more expensive and powerful than anything in the average home.
Now the tables have turned and the mobile and desktop devices people take for granted at home are far superior to what they find sitting on their desks when they come into work in the morning.

The invention and innovation make people life easy and simple. But, how the far we can go?
The process of invention and innovation will go on and so on. It will never stop until the world stop spinnig.
